priorities

As councillor, I would focus on five priorities: First, I will work for safe, welcoming, and compassionate neighbourhoods. Ward 10 needs practical solutions to homelessness, addictions, and mental health that protect public safety while treating people with dignity. We need coordinated services, housing-first approaches, and clear accountability for results. Second, I will support housing that fits our community. That means more attainable homes, rental options, gentle density, student housing, and seniors’ housing, while protecting the character of neighbourhoods and making sure growth is supported by transit, sidewalks, parks, and services. Third, I will fight for reliable basics: roads, sidewalks, snow clearing, stormwater, traffic safety, and transit. Residents deserve a councillor who follows through on everyday municipal services and pushes for decisions based on evidence, asset condition, and long-term value for taxpayers. Fourth, I will champion a vibrant downtown and strong local economy. Downtown renewal must serve residents, businesses, arts and culture, students, and visitors. We need a downtown that feels safe, active, clean, connected, and worth investing in. Fifth, I will protect Ward 10’s natural assets and prepare our neighbourhoods for a changing climate. Ramsey Lake, Bell Park, Junction Creek, urban trees, trails, and green spaces are not extras; they are core infrastructure for health, recreation, flood protection, and quality of life. My values are simple: listen first, act with integrity, make evidence-based decisions, respect taxpayers, protect vulnerable people, and build a more resilient Sudbury for the next generation. Ward 10 deserves leadership that is collaborative, prepared, and grounded in both compassion and practical results. I’m ready to bring my experience home to serve this community.
